  • Singapore is among the top three holiday spots for Indian outbound travelers.

Key Background

IndiGo Airlines has tied up with the” Singapore Tourism Board”( STB) in a demoiselle cooperation to drive Singapore- India trip. The one- time Memorandum of Understanding( MoU), was a corner achievement in establishing Singapore as a destination of choice for Indian rest trippers , as well as business trippers , likewise. The tie- up is also passing on the 60th anniversary of India- Singapore politic relations, which is a significant corner in bilateral relations.

As part of this strategic alliance, IndiGo will introduce a new premium product called “IndiGo Stretch” from 9 August 2025. The product would be introduced on high-density Delhi-Singapore and Mumbai-Singapore routes. “IndiGo Stretch” is being developed to provide increased passenger comfort with additional extra-wide seats, increased leg space, priority service, gourmet meal service, and increased baggage allowance — combining business-class comforts with IndiGo’s low-cost model of efficiency.

It is also due to the increasing tide of Indian visitors to Singapore. More than half a million Indian visitors traveled to the island state in the first half of 2025 alone. Singapore wants to capitalize on the trend through the MoU because it is one of the top three Indian tourist spots. Changi Airport has 15 Indian cities with more than 270 flights every week, nine of which are operated by IndiGo.

Marketing would be at the forefront of this exercise. The airline and the tourism board would roll out co-branded marketing campaigns, influencer-based content, digital marketing, and customer-needs-based tourism packages. “Singapore tourism” would be sold across Indian segments such as corporate, leisure, and MICE segments. Roadshows, travel agent familiarization tours, and a series of trade participation events will also be included in the campaign.

The tie-up is a manifestation of India and Singapore’s growing traveling relationship and enhances traveling by Indian tourists as smoother and more convenient and further establishes Singapore as an easy cosmopolitan city to access.
